Pick a brand and model to compare Passport and CNIC registration.

  • The exact model and storage of the phone.
  • The IMEI. Dial *#06# on the phone; dual-SIM and eSIM devices have more than one.
  • CNIC route: the applicant's CNIC, and a mobile number registered on that same CNIC for the OTP.
  • Passport route: the passport of the traveller who brought the phone in, within 60 days of arrival.
  • Access to the phone during registration for the verification code. Never share an OTP with anyone who contacts you out of the blue.
  1. Create a request on the PTA DIRBS portal with your IMEI and ID.
  2. DIRBS issues a PSID with the exact amount owed.
  3. Pay the PSID through your bank, an ATM or a mobile wallet.
  4. Once payment clears, the IMEI is whitelisted and the SIM works normally.

  2. FBR and DIRBS set the payable tax on the PSID. Device valuation, the exchange rate and current rules all affect it.
  3. Our service charge is separate from the tax: Rs 5,000 for the passport route and Rs 3,000 for CNIC.
  4. Passport registration is subject to official eligibility and the 60-day window after arrival. A fine may apply after that.
  5. Invalid, duplicate, stolen or blocked IMEIs cannot be registered.
  6. This page does not collect or submit your CNIC, passport, phone number or IMEI. Nothing you type here is sent anywhere.
